The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has released its 2019 World Human Development Report in which Haiti is ranked 170th just behind Afghanistan out of 189 countries and territory in the "low human development" category with an index of Human Development (HDI) of 0.510 position that Haiti shares with Sudan. Note that the closer the value is to 1, the higher the country's level of development.
