Friday, December 18, 24 hours after a seizure of weapons of war at Port Lafiteau https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32556-haiti-flash-seizure-of-weapons-of-war-and-ammunition.html agents of the Central Directorate of Judicial Police, (DCPJ) together with customs agents and agents of the Office for the Fight against Narcotics Trafficking (BLTS) discovered during the inspection of a container stored in the same Port, several handguns and a large quantity of ammunition concealed in a "drum".

According to the observation of the Justice of the Peace of Cité Soleil, Me Lévêque Evens, these weapons and ammunition from Miami, exported by "Alliance INT’L Shipping llc", were intended for a certain Lumas Virlaine.

The lot included : 4 pistols of Smith and Wesson, Taurus and Glock brands, 8 magazines of different calibers and a large quantity of ammunition : 34 boxes of 50 caliber 9 mm bullets, 3 boxes of 50 caliber 40 bullets and 2 boxes of 20 38 caliber bullets that were seized.

Three people were arrested in connection with this trafficking. The 3 men, weapons and ammunition were handed over to BLTS.
