Cinema : Jimmy Jean-Louis awarded as best actor

During the 16th edition of the African Movie Academy Awards, Haitian actor Jimmy Jean-Louis received the Prize for best actor, main role in the film "Desrances" from Burkinabe director Apolline Traoré.

USA : More interference...

US Department of State Assistant Undersecretary for Western Hemisphere Issues Jon Piechowski, in an interview over the airwaves of America's Voice, calls for the organization, as soon as possible of the elections legislative in Haiti. He also disapproves of the publication by President Jovenel Moïse of multiple decrees, including that relating to the formation of the National Intelligence Agency. Piechowski also expressed reservations about President Moïse’s plan to endow the country with a new constitution.

FAES on all fronts this holiday season

The Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) sent several convoys containing food kits on December 22 and 23, 2020 to the various delegations of 9 departments for distribution to needy people. These dry rations are intended for 21,000 beneficiaries spread across the departments of Grand-anse, South, Nippes, South-East, Center, Artibonite, North, North-East and North-West. It is for FAES to pay particular attention to vulnerable people during this festive period as it has done throughout 2020.

Monday, December 21 Madame Modeline Michaud was elected as President of the Federation of the Haitian Diaspora of Europe (FEDHE).

3 million birth certificate forms...

Guy François Jr. the Minister in charge of Patriotism and Citizenship informs that measures have been taken at the highest level of the State so that 3 million birth certificate forms are available at the Ministry of Justice in the coming days.
