Haiti - Insecurity : Legal intervention plan, monitoring of the measures adopted
Following the extraordinary CSPN resolution adopted on November 3, 2020, concerning the judicial intervention plan, Rockefeller Vincent the Minister of Justice and Public Security, in a letter addressed to Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe, informs him of the measures of follow-up adopted

"[...] Legal intervention plan :

[...] two Substitute Commissioners of the Government to the Public Prosecutor's Office near the Court of First Instance of Port-au-Prince were appointed to accompany the National Police of Haiti (PNH) in all police operations on the ground as well as the appointment of a Justice of the Peace. These substitutes take part in all the meetings. The Government Commissioner at the Court of First Instance of Croix-des-Bouquets was instructed to do the same within his jurisdiction.

A permanence is established, via a telephone line (3604-9602), to establish contact not only with the general public but also with other actors in the criminal chain. This telephone line allows the Public Prosecutor's Office, as a prosecution body, to be informed in real time of cases of banditry in the process of being committed.

Task Force :
A Task Force for the follow-up of the Judicial Intervention Plan was set up by Minister Vincent comprising the National Police of Haiti (PNH), the Secretary of State for Public Security, the Director of Judicial Affairs of the Ministry and a member of his private Cabinet."
