The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Haiti, informs the public that registration for the scholarship program entitled "MOFA Taiwan Scholarship Program" or that of "ICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program" for the year 2021 is open.

MOFA Taiwan Scholarship Program :

This scholarship is intended for Haitian citizens wishing to continue their studies in Bachelor or Masters programs in Taiwan.

The program is taught in Mandarin. One year of language study is included in the scholarship. Applicants can apply to any discipline taught in Taiwan following one year of studying Mandarin.

For the Bachelor, the scholarship is awarded for 5 years: one year of learning Mandarin + 4 years of university studies.

For the Masters, the scholarship is awarded for 3 years: one year of learning Mandarin + 2 years of university studies.

ICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program :

The program is taught in English. This program is intended for Haitian students with a good level of English, wishing to continue their studies in English in 30 study programs in Taiwan including 8 for the License, 19 for the Masters and 3 for the Doctorate. For more information on the study programs, please see the document "2021 International Higher Education Scholarship Program Brochure".

For the Bachelor, the scholarship is awarded for 4 years. For the Masters, the scholarship is awarded for 2 years; for the Doctorate (Ph.D.), the scholarship is awarded for 4 years.

These two scholarship programs are offered in order to promote exchanges between the youth of the two countries and to encourage higher studies. Young Haitians wishing to pursue their higher education in Taiwan are invited to choose one of the programs, submit their file before March 1, 2021, after having established their file according to the conditions and regulations concerned, attached to this press release or posted on the Embassy website.

Important : For more young Haitians to have the chance to study in Taiwan, any applicant can only choose one scholarship. For those who do not meet this criterion, their application request will be canceled.
