Installation of the new Deputy Minister
Friday Mathias Pierre was installed as the new Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, in charge of electoral questions and relations with political parties. In his intervention of circumstance Mathias Pierre declared "I will work for the realization of good elections, honest, Democratic, inclusive, participatory during the year 2021 [...] Any mandate received by the ballot boxes must be undoubtedly transferred by the ballot box [...] the elections constitute the true channel by which democracy manifests itself." For his part, Prime Minister Jouthe underlined "The year 2021 includes an important political agenda taking into account the need to have a functional constitution capable of guaranteeing political stability and restoring the harmonious and regular functioning of public institutions [...]"
