Haiti - Cuba : Collaboration in the field of the environment
Abner Septembre, the Minister of the Environment and the Cuban Ambassador accredited to Haiti Luis Castillo Campos, exchanged views on ways of collaboration in the environmental field.

A note published by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that during the meeting, Minister Septembre expressed Haiti's interest in continuing bilateral collaboration, especially with regard to the prevention and reduction of the risks of major natural hazards.

The Minister agreed to transfer a draft agreement to further extend the Cuban experience in the field of germplasm seed banks, the control of protected areas and the biological corridor.

Attended this meeting on the Haitian side, Astrel Joseph, the Chief of Staff of the Minister and Régine Abraham, the Director General of the Ministry of the Environment and on the Cuban side Mario Amaro Castanedo, Minister of Collaboration and Trade of the Embassy.
