Haiti - Elections : Details on the support of the United Nations System 28/01/2021 09:10:51
A document of the project to support the electoral process, prepared for this purpose, was signed on January 25, 2021 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32870-haiti-elections-first-contribution-of-$20mm-for-the-referendum-and-the-elections.html by the Government, the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH) and the four United Nations agencies : the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), UN Women and UNESCO, which will provide technical, operational and logistical support to the process, under the leadership of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) and the authorities Haitian. As with previous election cycles, the document provides for the establishment of a "basket fund" through which contributions from both the Haitian government and international partners will be managed by the UNDP.
