Haiti - Social : A strange story between the PNH and Food for the Poor 11/02/2021 09:55:31 In a Note dated February 9, 2021, the NGO, Food for the Poor (FFP) writes "For history and for truth and in order to unequivocally repudiate the lying and defamatory remarks made on social networks by individuals with designs as shameful as they are unacknowledged, FFP makes a point of clarifying the followin g: In the afternoon of Friday February 5, 2021, FFP received a call from the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince, informing it that it had been requested by the Support Service of the PNH for a food assistance to feed 800 police officers to be mobilized for the maintenance of peace during the weekend of February 7. The Archdiocese provided us with the necessary information for the delivery (first and last name of the contact person, his telephone number and the address for delivery). As in fact, still in the afternoon of Friday February 5, one of our trucks delivered only 50 bags of rice and 30 bags of peas according to the instructions received from the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince." Act II : Léon Charles, the Director General ai of the National Police of Haiti having read this note from FFP which claims to have provided food assistance to a structure called "PNH Support Service", "would like to inform the public in general and the Food For the Poor organization in particular that such a structure does not exist within the institution. Consequently, the General Directorate of the PNH rejects any responsibility relating to this request and invites all its partners to ensure the authenticity of any request to the Central Directorate of Administration and General Services before making a decision to engage in transactions with the police institution."
