Haiti - Obituary : Death of Patrick Numas, Electoral Advisor to the CEP
Patrick Numa was ill in recent days following a cardiovascular accident last December. Transported to Cuba in January to undergo physiotherapy treatment, Electoral Advisor Numa returned to the country on February 17.

A trade unionist particularly committed for the past two decades, Patrick Numa has long campaigned within several union structures working for social justice in Haiti and respect for the rights of workers through the Independent General Organization of Haitian Workers (OGITH), of which he was one of the founding members, leaves the memory of a devoted and meticulous patriot. Within the Board, he has always positioned himself as a dossier man in the accomplishment of his mission.

"I learned, with great emotion, the sad news of the death of Electoral Advisor Patrick Numa, who had served his country in a difficult context. I offer my heartfelt condolences to his family and to the staff of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP)," Jovenel Moïse
The Electoral Council is deeply saddened by this unexpected departure and feels the feeling of regret at the loss of an honest and upright collaborator. Me Guylande Mesadieu, President of the CEP on her own behalf and that of the electoral advisers "shares the suffering of her family, of her relatives and offers them her heartfelt condolences."
