This two-day workshop to be attended by representatives of several observatories operating in various sectors of the national life, will allow, among other things, to put at contribution the various experiences that are realized in this area. During the workshop, will be discussed the topics related to the process of establishment of the observatory, the issues and challenges, the role of the observatory to promote the citizen participation and the methodology used. Personalities, including leaders of other observatories with extensive experience in this area and a Canadian expert will intervene one after another on these topics, which will be followed by discussions between speakers and participants. The responsibles of the CRESFED have set the objective, following the workshop, to implant permanently the observatory in local development in the country. To this end, they will take into account all the points that will be addressed and will take into account especially the experiences "positive and negative" experienced by other institutions and organizations that have established an observatory in their respective sectors in order to better achieve their goal. In the years 2007 and 2008, CRESFED, initiated a series of reflections in the sector of local development in the perspective to establish a national observatory. In order to achieve its objective, the CRESFED has already achieved, for the benefit of several young and old of the country, training and research activities in local development. The projet of establishment of the observatory in local development was launched in 2009 by the Center of Training and Research in Local Development (CFRDL), grouping of three local institutions : Technical Centre of planning and applied economics (CTPEA), Group of research and of intervention in alternative education (GRIEAL) and the Center of research and training in economics and social development (CRESFED). The process gets the technical and financial support of the local development program in Haiti (PDLH). HL/ HaitiLibre
