Haiti - Energy : Towards the installation of 70,000 prepaid meters
As provided for in the clauses of the agreement between EDH and the firm ABD, by June or July 2021, at the end of the initial phase of the project, 70,000 units of smart meters will be installed across several neighborhoods of the metropolitan area.
The General Directorate of Electricity of Haiti (EDH) in a note to its customers informs that in order to gradually and considerably improve the service provided to customers that it intends to promote a culture of innovation by introducing on the energy market, a new service aimed at making the system more transparent in order to maximize customer satisfaction.
To this end, the EDH will replace the "post paid" meters by meters in "prepaid" mode. This provision falls within the framework of the Company's new commercial strategy, the objective of which is to redress the financial situation of this Institution to better meet the demands of its clients.
In this sense, it asks everyone to provide their full support and support to EdH technicians and those of the ABD/NURI firm who will have to carry out these operations for EDH clients.
