Haiti - Politic : Denial of the National Palace on Joseph L. Mathieu
Following the arrest by the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and the judicial transfer to the USA of Mathieu Lissner Joseph, a naturalized American Haitian actively wanted by the American justice for drug trafficking who was the subject of a international arrest order and the rumors that followed, suggesting that Mathieu Lissner Joseph was an employee of the National Palace, Lyonel Valbrun, the Secretary General of the Presidency published a formal denial to clarify:

"[...] Mathieu Lissner Joseph holds an access badge, as are other suppliers and subcontractors offering professional services to the Administration of the National Palace, in accordance with the law.

The Secretary General of the Presidency:

Emphasizes to everyone that the citizen in question, who was wanted by American justice, is neither a relative nor a driver of the President of the Republic, as specialists of the "INFOX" want to believe

He also calls on the population to be cautious in the face of this campaign of intoxication and manipulation of public opinion.

The Secretary General of the Presidency welcomes the cooperation between the Haitian and American authorities and wishes to recall that the fight against drug trafficking and organized crime remains one of the priorities of the Jovenel Moïse Administration."
