Village de Dieu, Messages of sympathy and reactions :

President Jovene Moïse :
"It's a black Friday for the country which mourns its fallen police sons in trying to free Village Dieu from the pangs of banditry. The assassins rejoice but their days are numbered because society will not allow these revolting crimes to go unpunished. The murder of Police officers constitutes a declaration of war against society. The disapproval by the population of these despicable acts demands a response from the State authorities, which must use legal means to liberate the Village. Let us unite against banditry."

Prime Minister Jouthe :
"March 12, 2021, a date that we will never forget because it reminds us of the assassination of our brothers. May the blood of our valiant police officers, wounded and killed for peace, the rule of law, not flow in vain! We will remain standing until the triumph of Peace in this country," Joseph Jouthe

Rockefeller Vincent, Minister of Justice :
"I offer my sincere condolences to the families, parents and brothers in arms of the brave police officers cowardly slaughtered in Village de Dieu by terrorists who took up arms against their own homeland. Barbarism will not triumph! Justice will be done."

Michel Martelly :
"I condemn this drama too many. My thoughts are with the families so badly affected. Honor to the martyred police officers! A vibrant appeal for solidarity and to close ranks to my police brothers and sisters to whom I renew my sympathies."

Nicolas Duvalier :
"Immeasurable grief overwhelmed me as I watched the shocking images of the day of March 12th. I extend my sympathies to the families, to the relatives of the police officers who fell under the bullets of the bandits and to the PNH in general."
