The French Embassy in Port-au-Prince, announces the launch of the selection procedure for the award of a scholarship as part of a summer internship at La Femis film school in Paris.

The "Summer University" program is a two-month training course for 15 young directors or students wishing to complete their training and technical knowledge as well as improve their practice of documentary cinema in France.

The program lasts 8 and a half weeks (July 15 to September 10, 2021) at the rate of 5 days of intensive courses per week and is organized around the production, by each trainee, of a creative documentary of 5 to 10 minutes. In addition to meetings related to the choice and design of films, trainees take 4 weeks of theoretical courses including numerous film screenings. The following 4 weeks are devoted solely to the practice of making the documentary.

The current practice of the written, spoken and read French language is compulsory.

Applicants must be under the age of 30 as of January 1, 2021.
