Haiti - USA : Biden administration pledged to promote safe migration

Julie Chung, Acting Assistant Secretary for U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs said "We recognize that as people endure pain and hardship, they will seek greater economic opportunities and safer communities for their families. This includes Haiti and countries in Central America. This is why we are working to improve conditions and address the root causes of migration.

The Biden administration is committed to promoting safe, orderly, and humane migration throughout the region. That is why we are working to create legal channels for people to migrate so they don’t have to make this dangerous journey over land and by sea."
