Antonio Patriota, the Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs will travel this Monday, July 11, 2011 in Haiti, for an offcial visit. He will meet successively the President Michel Martelly and Mariano Fernández Amunátegui, the new Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Haiti and head of the UN Mission for Stabilization in Haiti (Minustah).

During these meetings, the Minister Patriota should address "the main themes of the bilateral agenda, including the Brazilian assistance in the reconstruction process, the technical cooperation and humanitarian assistance in Haiti" specifies the press note.

Brazilian Chancellor, will also evaluate "the performance of Brazil, [who heads the military component since 2004] within the framework of the Minustah."
