Haiti - News : Zapping... 15/04/2021 11:47:25 In the official journal # 21-A of Wednesday April 14, by Order signed by Claude Joseph, Prime Minister a.i., the citizen Michel Patrick Boivert (Minister of Finance) was appointed Minister a.i. of Planning and External Cooperation; and the citizen Louis Conzague Edner Day (Minister of MAHVE) was appointed Minister a.i. of the Interior and Territorial Communities. The population apprehends a Kidnapper On April 13, the Haitian National Police (PNH Sud) intercepted in Les Cayes with the help of the population, an individual identified as Banes Taillard, 32 years old accused of attempted kidnapping with beginning of execution on two girls one 10 years old and the other 9 years old. The suspect who followed the two sisters on their way to their school tried to entice the girls by making them offers before inviting them to board his Mazda vehicle without registration. He was apprehended by the population who wanted to lynch him in the area of k-ciel where he collided with merchant displays while trying to flee. The police intervened on the scene and arrested the suspect who was taken into custody in the Cayes police station. Two new banknotes On Tuesday Jean Baden Dubois, Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) announced that the institution plans to issue new notes in the country's monetary system. Without specifying the date of circulation, these are 2,500 and 5,000 gourdes notes. Arrest of a French at the International Airport This Wednesday, April 14, 2021, agents of the Office for the Fight against Narcotics Trafficking (BLTS) seconded to Toussaint Louverture Airport, arrested the named Labady Jean Félix, of French nationality during a search of his luggage.
