Haiti - Politic : 5 candidates in evaluation for the post of Prime Minister
Frantz Exantus, Secretary of State for Communication, says negotiations to establish a new Government are progressing after Prime Minister ai Joseph Jouthe resigned on April 14 amid the worsening socio-political crisis and the climate of insecurity.
Exantus support that five personalities, are currently evaluated to assume the post of Prime Minister refusing to mention the slightest name.
"Discussions are continuing to provide the country with a new Head of Government [...]" recalling that the candidate must not only know the reality of the country but be able to dialogue with all the representatives of the sectors of national life and the international community adding "[...] if all goes well, we should soon have a new Prime Minister" who will work on the constitutional referendum of June 27, 2021 and the general elections scheduled for next September.
Remember that the current Constitution grants 30 days to renew the ministerial cabinet...
