The Embassy of Japan in Haiti announces that it has just opened the Japanese Government scholarship program for the academic year 2022 (at master's and doctoral level, i.e. 2nd cycle), organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan for holders of Bac II.

Qualifications required :

Be of Haitian nationality;

Be born after April 2, 1987 inclusive;

Have completed a bachelor's degree or be judged to have the equivalent level by the host Japanese university before leaving for Japan;

Have maintained a level of excellence during the academic years of the undergraduate university;

Have fluency in English;

Willingness to learn the Japanese language and pursue studies in Japanese.

Selection step :

1. The first selection: at the Japanese Embassy in Haiti

Application deadline: June 14, 2021

Written English and Japanese exams : June 30

Interviews : early July

Announcement of the results of the first selection : mid-July

2. The second selection : based on MEXT documents

Announcement of final MEXT results : from January to February 2022

3. Arrival of scholarship holders in Japan : April or September / October 2022
