The Land Insecurity Intervention Brigade (BRICIF) intervened in Caradeux when unidentified individuals attempted to illegally take possession of land in the area. The police, accompanied by a justice of the peace from the jurisdiction, seized several vehicles including 2 tractors. The individuals fled when the police arrived. An investigation is opened in order to identify them and prosecute them for land crime. Case of Covid at Quisqueya University In a briefing note published on Thursday, May 20, 2021, the rectorate of Quisqueya University (UniQ) informs that several cases of Covid-19 have been detected for several days on the university campus. The rectorate and the Faculty of Health Sciences of UniQ are calling for the return to the application of barrier gestures.
