The Land Insecurity Intervention Brigade (BRICIF) intervened in Caradeux when unidentified individuals attempted to illegally take possession of land in the area. The police, accompanied by a justice of the peace from the jurisdiction, seized several vehicles including 2 tractors. The individuals fled when the police arrived. An investigation is opened in order to identify them and prosecute them for land crime. Case of Covid at Quisqueya University In a briefing note published on Thursday, May 20, 2021, the rectorate of Quisqueya University (UniQ) informs that several cases of Covid-19 have been detected for several days on the university campus.
