President Moïse in Ecuador
The President of the Republic, Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by the First Lady, Martine Moïse, left the country on Sunday May 23, 2021 for Ecuador, to take part in the inauguration ceremony of the new President-elect, Guillermo Lasso. The presidential couple will return to the country on Monday, May 24, 2021.

"Today [Sunday], I had a meeting with the President of Haiti Jovenel Moïse, who will attend the change of command ceremony tomorrow. A productive bilateral meeting that will strengthen relations between our countries to achieve good- be," Guillermo Lasso, President-elect of the Republic of Ecuador.

Ouanaminthe border market
Thursday, May 20, the border market of Ouanaminthe resumed its activities to welcome The Fair organized as part of World Bee Day, with the participation of beekeepers from the North and North-East of Haiti, who exhibited their products and held industry conferences in Haiti. This fair was supported by the Bi-national Cooperation Program between DR and Haiti, funded by the European Union and implemented by Oxfam.
