Haiti - FLASH : Delmas, the most contaminated municipality in the country 29/06/2021 05:39:38
According to the Ministry of Public Health, 387 new cases and 16 deaths in 72 hours (6 Dept. West) have been confirmed in Haiti on June 22, 23 and 24, 2021 (latest partial data available) for a total of 18,460 cases and 420 deaths since the start of the pandemic, including 35% during the current 3rd wave 3rd wave : As of June 24, 2021 the total of the 3rd wave (beginning of May 10, 2021) amounts to 5,089 confirmed cases (+ 8.23%) and 156 deaths (+ 11.4%). For reference in April 2021 before the start of the 3rd wave of Covid the toll for the month was 267 new cases and 9 deaths.. Distribution of deaths by age : 0-9 years: 12 10-19 years: 5 20-29 years: 18 30-39 years: 29 40-49 years: 48 (+1) 50-59 years: 84 (+8) 60-69 years: 78 (+1) 70-79 years: 87 (4) 80 years and over: 59 (+2) Suspected case of COVID-19 : Anyone with a fever greater than or equal to 37.5 degrees Celsius, or with a recent history of fever (within the last 14 days), with or without cough with or without breathing difficulties, body aches, chest pain and unexplained headache. Anyone with a sudden change in taste (dysguesia or ageusia) or smell (hyposmia or anosmia) without associated rhinitis. In children : all the signs mentioned above plus a deterioration of the general condition, diarrhea or isolated fever, especially in children under 3 months, should be referred to a doctor. Recommendations : The Ministry of Health recommends to the population, the scrupulous respect of barrier gestures in general the systematic washing of hands, the respect of the physical distance 1.50m between people and the compulsory wearing of the mask in public places and in particular:
