Haiti - Tokyo 2021 : 6 Haitian athletes in competition (Calendar)

Haiti’s Ambassador to Japan Helph Monod Honorat participated in an important meeting between the heads of mission of the countries of the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States (GRULAC) around special cooperation during the Olympic Games which will be held from July 23 to August 8, 2021.

Indeed, the heads of mission agree that they will develop a cooperation which aims to help each other in the assistance of the athletes of the GRULAC countries who will take part in the games. They also agree on a possible assistance of nationals of member countries of the group who will attend the games.

Haitian athletes and competition calendar :

6 Haitian athletes will compete in these Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games (initially 2020 but postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic). Sabiana Anestor will be the flag bearer for Haiti during the parade of delegations

Sabiana Anestor (F) (27 years old, 52 kg) in the round of 16 on tatami mat # 1

Swimming :

Emilie Grand-Pierre (F) (20) 100m breaststroke at the Tokyo Aquatic Center.

Boxing :

Darelle Valsain Jr.cat. 75 kg (H) in the round of 16 in the Arena de Kokugikan ring

Taekwondo :

Aliya Shipman (18), the first Haitian taekwondoist qualified for this competition.
