Haiti - Politic : Martelly will go to Argentina on August 12
Following the visit to Haiti of the Foreign Minister of Argentina Hector Timerman, the latter declared "I have reiterated to the President of the Republic of Haiti, Joseph Michel Martelly, the commitment of Argentina, which is manifested concretely in the contribution that our country brings in term of cooperation in agriculture through the program Pro-Huerta and other current cooperation initiatives in education, housing, capacity building..."

"For his part, the President Martelly thanked me for the quick response of Argentina on the occasion of January 12, 2010, and in particular for the work done at the Argentine military field hospital in the care of victims, he also emphasized on the solidarity of the cooperation of Argentina and his interest of deepening it during his visit to Argentina on August 12" added the Argentine Minister of Foreign Affairs.

After January 12, 2010, the government of Argentina has donated to Haiti 35 tonnes of maize and beans seed, 600 sets of tools and 5000 training manuals. These seeds have been distributed to 17,000 families in six departments (Artibonite, Centre, North, Northeast, West and South-East).
