Haiti - FLASH : New electoral calendar (official)

Due to the delay caused by the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) published on Wednesday August 11, 2021 a new revised electoral calendar.

According to this new calendar sent to the executive, the combined presidential, legislative and referendum elections will take place on November 7, 2021.

January 23, 2022: Second rounds of the presidential, legislative and municipal and local elections.

January 28, 2022: Publication of the preliminary results of the 2nd round

January 31, 2022: Publication of the final results of the 2nd presidential round (after period of contestation)

February 11, 2022: Publication of the final results of the 2nd round of legislative elections (after periods of contestation)

March 19, 2022: Final results of municipal and local elections

All calendar details :

"In accordance with article 74 of the electoral decree of July 5, 2021, the Provisional Electoral Council would be grateful if you would conven the people to elections on the dates fixed in the electoral calendar, that is to say one month of thirty days before the elections," writes the CEP in its accompanying note to the Executive.
