Message from the Queen of England

Her Majesty the Queen of England Elisabeth II sent a message of condolence to the Prime Minister of Haiti "I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life and destruction caused by the earthquake in Haiti. My thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost their lives, loved ones and homes, as well as the emergency services working in the recovery effort."

Port-de-Paix : The power plant burgled

Taiwan : Donation of 500,000 US dollars

Following the deadly earthquake of August 14, the President of Taiwan (Republic of China) TSAI Ing-wen, aware of the gravity of the situation and the needs of the people and the Haitian Government, announced emergency humanitarian aid of 500,000 US dollars, to help the Haitian government meet the immediate challenges. The Taiwanese Embassy in Haiti will coordinate with the Haitian side the use of this financial assistance.
