Haiti - Politic : No new Government this week
While the documents of the file of candidacy of Prime Minister-designate are the subject of an investigation of compliance and authenticity, le "negotiations" continues this week... But parliamentarians who are opposed to the candidacy of Me Gousse seem deaf to the call for a compromise and camped on their position.

Rodolphe Joazile, the President of the Senate, in response to the persistent rumors of a possible withdrawal of the Prime Minister designated [denied Sunday by the Head of State https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-3443-haiti-politic-the-president-martelly-in-visit-in-the-great-north.html ] wished to clarify that he had not received a letter from the interest "...non so far I have not received a letter of this type, the file follows its course [...] The Commission is working both at the Immigration Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the level of the General Tax Directorate. Today [Monday] the Commission is seeking information outside, it will compare the file that it has in its hands and the archives of the State [...] I think that if the Commission complete this work today or tomorrow, if God wills, on Wednesday it will analyze the file and will prepare a draft report to be presented Thursday to the Assembly. I find it extremely difficult to have a Government this week. [...] it is necessary so that the file passes by the Senate for then to be presented to the Chamber of Deputies, and when it will come out of the Chamber of Deputies [...] he [the Prmie Minister-designate] will have to come and present his general policy statement... have a new government this week... I find it almost impossible..." bringing to the harsh the reality of the calendar, the President Martelly who said last Friday there could be a new government by next weekend... https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-3431-haiti-politic-a-government-next-week.html

The majority group members reaffirmed their initial position to reject Me Gousse after the meeting last week with the Head of State https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-3415-haiti-politic-bernard-gousse-vagueness-and-uncertainty-persists.html The Senator Lucas Saint Vil of the Group of parliamentarians of renewal (GPR) believes that the Prime Minister designate makes losing the time to the country by remaining on a position where he is sure to fail "The Group of the 16 had made understand to the head of State that he should appoint, as soon as possible, a new Prime Minister in place of Me Gousse".

Himmler Rébu, the leader of Grand Rassemblement pour l'Evolution d'Haïti (GREH) makes statements radical, as usual "Mr. Gousse will not pass to the Government, there is no possibility so that he passes [...] We are within a war, a true war of ideological man, that even the Senators, or even the President of the Republic, or his counsel did realize the true nature of this problem [...] We are no longer in a matter of Parliamentary who are for or against, we are in a matter of ideological and these Senators, because they took a public position that goes into a certain sense ideological, have no power to reverse..."

A group of French parliamentarians "Groupe d’amitié France-Haiti" which completed a mission of six days last week urged parliamentarians to compromise "We really want with all our heart that the Haitian elites, especially the political elites make the compromises necessary so that there is a interlocutor in front of the international community"

For its part, the Association of Industries of Haiti (AIDH) criticizes both the president Martelly and parliamentarians on the file of Prime Minister-designate https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-3446-haiti-economy-open-letter-from-the-association-of-industries-of-haiti.html Allus Reginald, one of the responsible of the AIDH calls on the leaders to put aside their personal interests for the benefit of those of the population that they are supposed to represent.
