Mass for Haiti in Manhattan
On Saturday August 21, 2021, a mass was held at the Cathedral of Saint John the Theologian in Manhattan. This initiative by the Consulate General of Haiti in New York and the Haitian-American Clergy Association has taken place as Haiti is going through difficult times. Today more than ever, Haiti needs prayer and support. In his remarks for the occasion, Ambassador Bocchit emphasized national unity and the vital role that the diaspora must play in the reconstruction and development of Haiti.

Weather forecast : Sahara dust wave
A new wave of dust from the Sahara is coming to the greater Antilles. While the phenomenon reduces the risk of hurricane during its passage, it causes very hot weather and difficulties for people with respiratory diseases. It will be a foggy, hot and very little humid week in Haiti.

Mexico : Planes and aid boats follow one another

Haitians donate blood
On Saturday August 21, the National Blood Transfusion Center collected 131 bags of blood in the metropolitan area, including 99 bags at the Hotel Karibe at the initiative of the American Chamber of Commerce in Haiti. 40 bags of blood were brought back from Cap Haitien the same day with logistical support from Digicel.

40 French rescuers as reinforcements
As part of the European Civil Protection Mechanism, 40 French rescuers from the regiment of Nogent LeRotrou and Brignolles have arrived. In their "luggage" a water treatment unit for Les Cayes which will provide up to 220m3 of drinking water per day.
