Haiti - Social : ONA at the bedside of its pensioners victims of the earthquake 30/08/2021 08:59:50
The General Directorate of the National Insurance Office for Old Age (ONA), extends the manifestation of its solidarity to its pensioners in the departments of the South, of Nippes and Grand'Anse, severely affected by the earthquake of August 14, 2021.
This outpouring of solidarity will initially take the form of an action to support pensioners through donations in kind and in cash : so that they can better get out of this state of deprivation and imposed prostration by the earthquake.
Secondly, as a direct action, the ONA will facilitate their access to a special loan, the amount of which could reach a maximum of 12 months of their monthly pension.
Jemley Mare Jean Baptiste Director General a.i. of ONA thus intends to mitigate the anxiety-provoking effects of this deadly earthquake among its pensioners, while working alongside the Government to reorganize social life in the Great South.
