Haiti - Migration crisis : The Government calls for solidarity with our compatriots in difficulty
In a note, Jean Emmanuel Jacquet the Minister of Communication explains that 3the problem of Haitian migrants at the American-Mexican border, which makes the headlines, is not different from that of other peoples in difficult situations of emigration in the world. In the case of Haiti, it is the result of a de facto situation in recent years, accentuated by migratory flows towards Brazil and Chile, transformed into attempts to reach the United States by all means."

The Haitian Government takes note of the resurgence of a situation which does not date from today, but which "deserves a hasty treatment to which it intends to respond as effectively as possible." It is indisputable that the acting Prime Minister Ariel Henry inherits a heavy file which he takes to heart. Despite the limits and very limited room for maneuver, he intends to fully assume its responsibilities by honorably welcoming these compatriots in difficulty.

In the process, the Ministry of Communication "urges Haitian compatriots, as well as users of social networks, to exercise restraint and respect towards these compatriots regarding the excessive dissemination of certain dishonorable images of our repressed brothers and sisters, who stigmatize the Haitian and the country as a whole. "

Recalling to the attention of the USA, that on the level of "fundamental morality" on an international scale and on a strictly humanitarian level, the implementation of territorial laws must in no way jeopardize the fundamental rights of the human person."
