Haiti - FLASH : The Gang «400 mawozo» demands one million dollars for the release of each American hostage

The Gang "400 mawozo" whose armed men hijacked on Saturday October 16, 2021, on the road to Ganthier a bus carrying a group of American missionaries and their families (5 men, 7 women and 4 children aged 3, 6, 14 and 15 years as well as an 8 month old baby) members of "Christian Aid Ministries" based in Ohio https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-35012-haiti-flash-at-least-fifteen-american-missionaries-kidnapped-in-port-au-prince.html formulated its requirements confirmed the Liszt Quitel the Minister of Justice and also Minister of the Interior.

"The kidnappers want $1 million per person released, which equates to $17 million for all hostages."

Minister Quitel indicated that the FBI and the Haitian National Police (PNH) were negotiating with the kidnappers and trying to obtain the release of the 16 American ans one canadian hostages, of negotiations which, according to Quitel "could last for weeks" adding "the first plan of the action is to obtain their release without ransom. Because let's be honest : if we give them all the money they want, it will be used to buy more weapons and ammunition."
