CARDH, a non-profit organization whose mission is to contribute to the promotion of the values ​​of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for the advent of the rule of law, counted 119 kidnappings for the first half of the month of October including the collective kidnapping of 17 foreign nationals (16 Americans and 1 Canadian) by the 400 mawozo gang sowing terror in Croix-des-Bouquets and Ganthier.

Its crime monitoring unit just published the bulletin #6 (mid-October)

1- At least 119 cases of kidnappings recorded for the first half of October, which announces, as foreseen in the preceding bulletin, an increase compared to last month (September).

- 61 individual kidnappings

- Collective kidnapping among others of the 400 mawozo of 16 Americans, a Canadian and at least one Haitian (driver) totaling 18 people.

- 10 collective kidnappings in two days in Martissant, at the rate of 4 occupants per car, the minimum considered.

2- N.B. The collective kidnapping is taken into account at 10% on average, otherwise the total should be revised upwards

3- Global assessment : at least 782 kidnappings from January 1 to October 16, 2021, compared to 796 in 2020.

4- Foreign nationals : at least 53 for 4 countries.

5- N.B. The bulletins indicate the evolution of the kidnapping and not the exact number. No public or private institution has exhaustive data.
