Haiti - Politic : Me Bernard Gousse denies having wanted to desist 04/08/2011 10:40:37
"...I take this opportunity to bring the most formal denial to the assertion of a Senator, that I have promised to desist. Such a process can be terminated in two ways either by the withdrawal of the presidential choice, or as it did yesterday [Tuesday] by a negative vote to the Senate [...]. Secondly, to desist would have been betraying the steps, the confidence of the Head of State, the support received from the people who manifested spontaneously and massively on all the radios to say that we need to put an end, not only to the insecurity, but we must also put an and to the arrogant incompetence, that it is necessary to put an end to the nepotism, to the indignity and it is necessary to put an end to the "ravalement" of our state before the foreign powers..."
