Haiti - 16 Days of Activism : «Aba vyolans sou fanm ak tifi» (Program)

As part of the activities surrounding the celebration of the world day against violence against women (November 25, 2021), the project "16 Days of activism, Aba vyolans sou fanm ak tifi" launched in Hinche and funded by the Government of Canada hhttps://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-35334-icihaiti-social-world-day-against-violence-against-women.html will be implemented by the Collectif Pour la Promotion of Urban Arts and Contemporary Art (CPAUAC) from November 30 to December 10, 2021.

This project aims to raise awareness and educate boys and girls on violence against women and encourage change in violent behavior towards women and girls, through graffiti workshops and training on violence based on violence against gender-based violence (GBV), in Port-au-Prince and Les Cayes. Recall that from January to September 2021, 12,300 cases of sexual and physical violence were recorded in Haiti.

Two graffiti workshops on the same themes will be carried out by professional Haitian street artists. These training days will allow participants to broaden their artistic skills in various graffiti techniques.

Four collaborative frescoes including 2 in Port-au-Prince and 2 in Les Cayes will be produced by the participants. These frescoes will serve as a pretext to educate young people against any practice of violence and discrimination against women and girls.
