7 Haitians perish at sea
Authorities in the Turks and Caicos Islands found the lifeless bodies of 7 Haitians in the open sea Monday, November 29, 2021, the incident occurred following a collision of a sailboat carrying 71 Haitians with a marine patrol of the Police of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Bertho Dorcé, Minister of Justice had a working meeting yesterday with the Government Commissioners near the Courts of First Instance of the 18 jurisdictions of the country. At the end of the meeting, the new minister prohibited the heads of prosecution from issuing warrants to bring against citizens as they see fit, he also urged them to take concrete actions in order to end with prolonged preventive detention in the country.

AIDS : PM calls for better mobilization
Yesterday, December 1st, Prime Minister Ariel Henry participated in the celebration of World HIV/AIDS Day. "My presence in these places testifies to the commitment of my government to reduce the structural inequalities which hinder the eradication of HIV/AIDS by 2030," he said, "I invite all the sectors of national life, particularly the technical and financial partners of the health sector, to become more involved in raising awareness and mobilizing against AIDS, against stigmatization and discrimination against PLWHIV."
PNH : Meeting on the Strategic Development Plan
Commissioner Frantz Elbé, Director General ai of the Haitian National Police (PNH) met with representatives of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the International Office narcotics and law enforcement (INL). The meeting took place around the next strategic development plan of the PNH and the orientations envisaged at the operational level.
