Judge cancels a gang leader wanted notice

Judge Ezaïe Pierre-Louis ordered, on December 20, the annulment of the search notice issued by the Central Direction of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) against Vitelhomme Innocent, leader of the "kraze Barye" gang of Torcel, ally of the Gang "400 Mawozo" accused of attempted murder, kidnapping and theft of vehicles. He is now free to circulate as he wishes... The Technical Secretariat of the Superior Council of the Judicial Power (CSPJ) has requested the opening of an investigation into the summary order, issued by Judge Ezaïe Pierre-Louis in favor of Vitelhomme Innocent.

218th independence : The PM is in Gonaïves !

Friday in Gonaïves, last day of the year, the lower part of the city was deserted. Banks and stores remained closed "Let’s celebrate Independence Day in our hearts and souls. No matter where you are," a.i. Prime Minister Ariel Henry Tweeted at midday. Saturday, despite the threats, Ariel Henry went to Gonaïves and Tweeted 10 minutes ago "As part of the celebration of the 218th anniversary of national independence, I am currently participating, alongside my Chief of Staff and several members of the Government, at the traditional Te Deum which takes place, in Gonaïves at the Saint Charles de Boromé church."

Motorcycle thefts, gang dismantled

On Thursday, December 30, the Haitian National Police dismantled a gang in Cayes specializing in the theft of motorcycles. 7 individuals were arrested (Amorce Lény, Emmanuel Beauvais, Guerby Moreau, Jimmy Auguste, Nickenson Hilaire, Sondly Casimir and Yves Borgella). They are accused of motorcycle theft, drug trafficking and criminal associations.
