Then, at 1:18 and 12 seconds in the morning, an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 on the Richter scale was recorded 4 kilometers west of Petit Trou de Nippes (Dept. Nippes) The epicenter was located at 18.531 ° N north latitude and 73.553 ° W west longitude at a depth of 11 kilometers 5 km south-east of Grand Boucan (Dept.
