For the year 2021-2022, thanks to the support of the Swiss Embassy in Haiti, through the project "Contribution to the training of Haitian cultural actors", training in cultural management will be held in 3 cities : Jacmel, Les Cayes and Cap-Haitien.

Candidate Eligibility Criteria :

This call for applications is addressed to cultural operators (members of cultural associations, organizers of cultural events, heads of cultural services or cultural animators, etc.), who must demonstrate at least two years of practice in the cultural sector.

Places are limited to 15 people per session.

Deadline for registration before Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

Priority places go to beneficiaries of the AROCH programs and associated organizations, to professionals recommended by them and by the Swiss Embassy in Haiti.

Selected candidates will receive a confirmation letter with training details.

Training program:

The training is mainly based on the field knowledge of the operators, in order to develop their skills and optimize their results.

Three and a half days of theoretical training are given, based on a didactic manual (produced within the framework of the AROCH program), led by 2 local speakers, on the following subjects:

• Organization: planning, contracts and legal authorizations, logistics, general management, etc...;

• Management: budget, fundraising, report, etc...;

• Communication: advertising, promotion, press relations, new technologies, derived products, etc...:

• Network building: networking session with local and national professionals and institutional leaders (representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, local authorities, reference cultural institutions, etc.).

The Action Program for the Strengthening of Haitian Cultural Organizations (AROCH) implemented by the Haiti Jazz Foundation in collaboration with the Caracoli Association and funded by the European Union, aims to strengthen Haitian cultural organizations in their capacities to produce events cultural, thanks to several mechanisms, including training in cultural management.
