Superior Court of Auditors : Audit of ONA

In accordance with the request for an audit on the management of the National Old-Age Insurance Office (ONA) made by the Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Disputes (CSC/CA) on December 1st, 2021, the General Directorate of ONA sent the CSC on January 26, 2022 a first batch of documents for carrying out this audit. This audit mission covers the period from October 2010 to September 2021.

Les Cayes : Public works at work

The South Departmental Directorate of Public Works is undertaking rehabilitation work (reprofiling) of the main entrance to the city of Les Cayes, on the RN2, at the height of the Charpentier and Saint Michel localities, and also the rehabilitation of the scupper on the road Gelée, lane giving access to the beach. These works extended over 1,150 linear meters, constitute the extension of this section of road into four lanes (outward and return) in order to make traffic more fluid.

Jovenel Moïse Bridge

The Jovenel Moïse bridge will be inaugurated on February 4 in the city of Les Anglais.

Haiti-Morocco Cooperation

The Ambassador of Haiti to the Dominican Republic, His Excellency, Smith Augustin, received the visit of his counterpart from the Kingdom of Morocco "Glad to have received a courtesy visit from my counterpart from the Kingdom of Morocco Hichame Dahane. We discussed the historical relations of friendship between our two peoples and the need to strengthen them through cultural, commercial and scientific exchanges."

BINUH :

The United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH) is deeply saddened by the two earthquakes that struck southern Haiti on January 24, killing two people, injuring 52 and causing significant material damage in the Nippes region. Expressing its condolences and sympathy to the victims and their families, the United Nations will continue to support State institutions that come to the aid of the affected populations.

US Government :

The United States Government offers its sincere condolences and support to our Haitian colleagues and to the communities in the Nippes Department and throughout Haiti who were affected by the earthquakes yesterday morning (Tuesday). The U.S. government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID-Haiti) continues to assist the people of Haiti with essential humanitarian assistance in coordination with Haitian authorities throughout Haiti, particularly in the Southern Peninsula.

European Union :

The European Union expresses its sympathy to the families of the missing and to the many victims of the earthquakes that occurred on January 24, 2022 in the department of Nippes. It assures all its solidarity with Haitians in these distressing times.
