The owner of "Matco Hardware" kidnapped

On Monday, Roland Trouillot, owner of Matco Hardware, was kidnapped in broad daylight by heavily armed men in front of his business in Delmas 19. The scene was filmed by a video surveillance camera.

Diplomas and transcripts downloadable online

Nesmy Manigat the Minister of National Education announces that students who plan to complete their classical studies in Haiti will no longer have to go to the premises of the Ministry or pay someone to obtain their diplomas and transcripts. These documents will be available for consultation and download online during February.

Conference on the rapprochement of the Haitian and Dominican peoples

Friday, January 28, 2022, the Technical Secretariat of the Haitian-Dominican Joint Commission organized a conference on the theme "The importance and role of cultural diplomacy in bringing the Haitian and Dominican peoples closer together". Led by the diplomat and cultural expert, Dominique Domercant, students, civil servants, professionals and representatives of international organizations and civil society were present to discuss and understand the dimensions of the theme by analyzing the weaknesses of this sector while highlighting the cultural assets of Haiti. The diplomat took the opportunity to encourage diplomatic missions to be creative in their cultural agenda.
