Haiti - Japan : Inauguration of two bridges over the Rivière Grise 04/02/2022 08:35:30
The Construction of these 2 bridges erected on the Grise River and financed by Japan, was carried out by the Japanese companies Central Consultant Inc. and Hazama Anda Corporation, for a total amount of approximately 32 million dollars These bridges, which connect the metropolitan area and the Center and North regions, have a major strategic importance for daily transport while contributing to the economic development of the region and the whole country. In his speech before proceeding to the traditional ribbon cutting, Prime Minister Ariel Henry declared "I hope to be able to continue to count on the solidarity of the Government and the Japanese people. I ask the Ambassador of Japan to convey to his Government the thanks of the Haitian people for their invaluable support for the development of the national road network. [...] The infrastructure and the road network constitute an essential element of this favorable environment that we want to create to attract investments, creators of sustainable jobs for our youth and build a more resilient economy. Bandits got their hands on some of the Japanese construction company's equipment.
