Haiti - Environment : Training in piloting drones and aerial photos
The Directorate of Forests and Renewable Energies of the Ministry of the Environment, with the support of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) carried out a three-day training workshop (2 theoretical days and one day of practical work on the WynnFarm and Sohaderk sites in Kenscoff) on the piloting of drones and aerial photography for the benefit of around twenty Ministry executives

Astrel Joseph, Director General of the Ministry during his opening remarks stressed the importance of this training in the agenda of Minister Cadet.

According to Joseph, having executives who can operate drones to take images is a major asset for the Ministry, which will be better able to address environmental issues. He stressed that with this training, the Ministry will be able to have precise information on the situation of the country, very useful also in the event of natural disasters.

Eder Audate, the Director of the Directorate of Forests and Renewable Energies (DFEIR) expressed his satisfaction for the success of this training session which will contribute to strengthening the technical capacity of the Ministry and thank Zachary Chery United Nations executive specialized in the remote control of the drones that facilitated the training.
