Cuba poorer than Haiti

According to the latest statistics from the Economist Intelligence Unit, in 2021 the per capita income (GDP) in Cuba was lower than that of Haiti. An indicator that highlights the deep economic crisis that Cuba has been going through for a few years. Average inflation in 2021, although clearly improving, amounted to 255.2%.

Assassination President : New Investigating Judge

Thursday, March 3, Me Bernard Sainvil, Dean of the Court of First Instance (TPI) of Port-au-Prince, appointed Judge Merlan Belabre to continue the investigation of the case of the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse.

The CFI on tour in Washington

Thursday morning, Bocchit Edmond, the Ambassador of Haiti in Washington received Ms. Marie Fatima Prophet, Director General of the Center for Facilitation of Investments (CFI) on a prospecting tour with several Institutions in Washington, DC. We discussed and evaluated the various existing mechanisms of collaboration between the Embassy of Haiti in the USA and the CFI.

Minister Rival in the North:

Raymonde Rival the Minister of Youth and Sports made this Thursday, March 3, 2022 a visit to the North department. She inspected the sports infrastructure of the city of Cap Haitien and encouraged young people to practice sport during an inter-district championship organized at Parc St Victor.

Visit of a land in Cazale donated to IFTH

A delegation from the Haitian Women in Tourism Initiative made a prospecting visit to Cazale on March 2, 2022. The purpose of this visit was to explore land donated by the Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti for the construction of the Women's Gathering and Development Center (CERF) with a view to mentoring, coaching and guiding young women to take hand their destiny.

Death of former Prime Minister Robert Manuel

Thursday March 3, 2022 Robert Manuel (69) alias Bob Manuel, former Secretary of State for Public Security and former Prime Minister under President René Préval died in Guatemala.
