Jacmel Carnival, 40 million gourdes demanded
Actors of the Jacmel carnival announce days of demonstrations, starting yesterday Monday, March 14 to demand the 40 million gourdes promised by the government for the organization of the communal carnival in this city. If the carnival festivities did indeed take place in Jacmel, the fund which was to be used to pay the actors, among others, was not paid to the town hall of this commune.

Judge Fignolé was attacked
Annie Fignolé, judge at the Port-au-Prince Court of First Instance, was the victim of an attack perpetrated on Sunday, March 14, in Delmas, by armed individuals. The magistrate came out safe and sound. The motives behind this attack are unknown.
