Tuesday, April 12, 2022, as part of the preliminary round of qualifying for the Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) zone for the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia/New Zealand 2023 , our Grenadières at the top of Group E faced Cuba on the lawn of the Olympic Stadium Felix Sanchez in Santo Domingo for their last match, the victory of which will open access to the final phase of the women's CONCACAF championship to be held in Monterey, Mexico from July 4 to 18, the last step to obtain a ticket for the World Cup.

This match refereed by the Mexican Katia Garci saw our Grenadières in very good shape, unsurprisingly winning a resounding victory without great difficulty by humiliating the Cuban team [6-0]

Note that since the start of this qualification phase for the FIFA World Cup, Australia and New Zealand 2023, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the Gold Cup 2024, Haiti has not conceded a goal in 4 games and has scored 44 goals including 11 for Roselord Borgella!

To validate their ticket for the final phase of the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023 [July 20 to August 20, 2023], the Paris Olympic Games 2024 [July 26 to August 11, 2024] and the first edition of the Gold Cup 2024, our Grenadières will have to wait for the draw on Tuesday April 19 in Miami to know their opponents.

Let's recall that 8 countries are qualified (USA, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Panama and Haiti) which will be divided into two groups of four.
