The plane had taken off from Port-au-Prince at 3:44 p.m. local time bound for Jacmel, (Dept. The toll is heavy and stands at 6 dead and 5 seriously injured. The 4 passengers of the plane died in the crash, the pilot (Amado R. Gutierres, a foreigner) who had survived was rushed to Diquini hospital but succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday evening . On impact, the plane killed a motorcycle taxi driver and hit a truck, seriously injuring five who were taken to hospital.

OFNAC technicians were mobilized immediately after the accident. A crisis unit was set up to collect the first elements of information on site to be used in the investigation.

Reacting to this tragedy, Prime Minister a.i.
