Haiti - Economy : More than 12 million gallons of fuel arrived this weekend

The two fuel boats announced by the Development Assistance Programs Monetization Office (BMPAD) arrived at the terminals this weekend as scheduled, with a cargo of 287,500 barrels of gasoline and diesel (12,075,000 gallons) for all oil companies . That is respectively 154,500 barrels of gasoline (6,489,000 gallons) and 133,000 barrels of diesel (5,586,000 gallons).

The ship "M/T MATHILDE ALPINE" arrived on April 29 was carrying 27,500 barrels of gasoline and the "M/T EL MEDIA" arrived on Saturday April 30, 2022, 127,000 barrels of gasoline and 133,000 barrels of diesel.

The terminals of Thor and Varreux worked all weekend, Sunday May 1st included, in order to load the greatest number of tank trucks to supply as many gas stations as possible in Port-au-Prince and throughout the territory.

The BMPAD welcomes the arrival and unloading of this cargo of petroleum products, as well as the efforts of the employees of the terminals of Thor and Varreux to make them immediately available on the national market.

Tank truck loading at the WINECO oil storage center (Varreux Terminal) for the day of May 1, 2022 : Diesel: 0 gallon; Kerozene: 0 gallon; Gasoline: 442,400 gallons

The BMPAD encourages oil companies to place new fuel orders in order to guarantee a continuous and stable distribution at the pump, for the satisfaction of users.
