Haiti - Judo : First difficult day for our judoka
On Tuesday, in the Palais Omnisports Paris-Bercy (POPB) to Bercy (France), has started the Senior World Judo Championships. 900 judokas, representing 140 nations, are in this championship to conquer the gold...

This first day of Championship, was a very difficult day for the men selection of Haiti. Peterson Meneus (60 kg) lost in the first minute of his combat against Zakari (Niger) while Reginald Altenor (66 kg) who had however well started his combat, lost against DeJong (Holland) at the last minute, apparently exhausted and embarrassed by his rib injury.

oday Wednesday, two Haitian judokas will participate in the Senior World Judo Championships : Linouse Desravines (52 kg) who will face on the tatami Chervonsky (Australia) and Ange Mercie Jean-Baptiste (57 kg) will have to face Gasimova (Azerbaïdjan). For men Abdias Lamour (73 kg) willm not have a easy task with Liu (China).

France, host of these games, who dreams of becoming the second country in the world for this sport, failed for the first day, to elevate one of his judokas on the podium. Their favorites: Jossinet, Larose, Milous and Payet were all beaten.

The Japanese have emerged during this first day of the championship by winning two titles on three and one second place.
