Haiti - Technology : The largest hybrid power plant in Haiti commissioned
Wednesday, May 11, 2022 French company Entech, specialized in the storage and intelligent management of renewable energies, commissioned in Haiti in the Coteaux area (South-West) a hybrid solar power plant of 500 kilowatts, the most powerful in Haiti. .

The hybrid system installed consists of a lithium battery with a storage capacity of 680 kWh, a 500 kVA HV/LV transformer as well as an installed 150 kW solar power plant and incorporates two 400 kVA and 150 kVA

This system aims to supply approximately 1,600 households within a radius of 30 kilometers around the plant.

This hybrid plant makes it possible to divide diesel consumption by 2, which allows the Electric Cooperative of the Arrondissement des Coteaux (CEAC), which operates this new plant independently, to absorb any financial losses linked to a price increase for diesel while avoiding an increase in the price of kWh sold to the population.

Entech has trained the Haitian technicians of the ECAC so that they are completely autonomous.

It should be noted that this plant is an order placed with Entech by the United Nations Office for Project Support Services (UNOPS).
